In Coloured canaries: lipochrome with stain (on feathers, beak,legs, feet or claws). In Coloured canaries: melanin with white feather In Coloured canaries: Black melanin with white claw. In Coloured canaries: bird with double factor (ex.: opal +pastel) Any other situation not considered above will be studied with a responsible person of the exhibition. Furthermore the wrong size of the ring, a dirty bird or cage, as well as characters on the cage are reasons for an exclusion.

          Standard Description of the Bernois/Berner Canary Position Proud and erect. Size 16 cm maximum Head Short and broad, flat on top, with protruding forhead. Neck Moderately long and well discernible. Breast, Shoulders and Back Breast full and well developed, broad shoulders, long back, body long and in the shape of a keel. Wings Wings long and close fitting to the body. Tail Tail long and narrow in line with back. Legs Very long and slightly angled. Thight Thighs halfshowing and smooth feathered. Plumage/Colours Dense feathering, fine and close fitting to the body. All colours are allowed except red. Condition Clean and healthy.
SHOW CAGE: Tunnel type show cage with 2 round perches 12 mm in diameter, (1 above and 1 below).
